Security & data protection
Built to handle sensitive onboarding data properly.
Bloome holds some of the most sensitive information in your HR stack — accommodations, neurodiversity profiles, Right to Work records. Here's how we handle it, in plain language, without the legal padding.
How we handle your data
Straight answers to the questions buyers ask us.
- Is neurodiversity and onboarding data treated as sensitive by default?
- Yes. Accommodation and neurodiversity fields are optional, explicitly labelled, and kept separate from the rest of an employee's record. Access follows the same role-based rules as the rest of Bloome: records are scoped to the HR workspace that created them, so only people inside that workspace can see them.
- Are you UK GDPR compliant?
- Bloome is built around UK GDPR principles — data minimisation, purpose limitation, and your rights to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold. Offer and transition documents are generated from GDPR-ready templates, and our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what we collect and why.
- Is data encrypted?
- Yes — all data moving between your browser and Bloome is encrypted in transit, so onboarding plans, accommodations and employee records can't be read as they travel.
- How long do you keep our data, and can we get it deleted?
- We keep data for as long as your workspace is active and as needed to meet our legal obligations. You can request access to, export of, or deletion of your data at any time — see our Privacy Policy for the full process, or just ask us directly.
- Do you sell our data?
- No. We don't sell employee or company data to anyone, under any circumstances. It's used to run Bloome for your workspace — nothing else.
Going through a formal security review?
We'd rather answer your procurement team's questions directly than assert certifications we don't hold. Request our security questionnaire and we'll complete it for you.
